ECI implements its duties by the law 5175. They can be generally summarized as below;

• To ensure any kind of vocational information and bring to its members,
• To make any kind of researches, surveys and statistical studies belonging to industry,
• To fulfill missions determined by laws and the Ministry of Industry and Trade,
• To take compulsory decisions and give vocational opinions to related units,
• To execute courses, seminars and make informative activities through working groups,
• To ensure foundation of organized industrial sites and their administration.
