ECI Conducts Twin Transition Study Visit to Germany
Under the EU-funded TEBD-II Program, the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry (ESO) organized a study visit to Darmstadt, Germany, as part of its "Twin Transition for the Resilient SMEs" (TWINSME) Project from June 10–14, 2026.
The delegation visited the Darmstadt Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Darmstadt Technical University’s Digital Transformation Center, HUB31 Innovation Center, and various industrial enterprises. The visit focused on best practices in digitalization, green transition, energy efficiency, sustainable manufacturing, data analytics, and SME transformation.
ESO President Celalettin Kesikbaş emphasized the visit's strategic value for Eskişehir's industry: “Through the TWINSME Project, we observed European best practices firsthand, enhanced institutional collaborations, and boosted our industry's sustainable transformation capacity.”
Kesikbaş noted that the program evaluated university-industry cooperation models, innovation hubs, and sustainable production. “We gained critical insights into energy efficiency, low-carbon production, AI-powered manufacturing, data analytics, and smart operations. This will inspire new projects to increase our SMEs' competitiveness,” he said, adding that networking events proved highly productive for future international partnerships.
