ECI Secures the EU Grant to Lead the Twin Transition
As the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry (ECI), we are proud to take a critical step toward the future of our city’s industry. Within the scope of the “Türkiye–EU Business Dialogue II (TEBD-II) Grant Program,” financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, our project titled “Twin Transition for Resilient SMEs (TWINSME)” has been awarded an EU grant.
Commenting on this important development, ECI President Celalettin Kesikbaş stated:
“This success is a confirmation, at the European level, of the visionary and competitive spirit of Eskişehir’s industry. With a budget of €125,000 and a duration of 15 months, this project will accelerate the adaptation of our SMEs to the twin transition – namely green and digital transformation – which represents their greatest challenge in global competition. Through the EU-funded ‘TWINSME’ project, we will elevate both the environmental sustainability and digital capabilities of our companies to the highest level.”
Eskişehir Industry Will Lead the Twin Transition
Drawing attention to the strong cooperation established with the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Germany, the project partner, President Kesikbaş said:
“Our partner, the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce, has significant experience in green and digital transformation practices in Europe. Thanks to this collaboration, we will directly transfer the most up-to-date knowledge and best practices from Germany to our ECI member companies. Through the intensive training and consultancy activities to be delivered within the scope of the project, our SMEs will adapt to new EU regulations, increase their export potential, and strengthen their competitiveness in a sustainable manner. Eskişehir is moving forward to become not only a city that adapts to the twin transition, but also one that leads it.”
ECI Works Like a Project Factory
“In recent years, the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry has virtually become a project factory. By effectively and successfully utilizing various international funds, especially those of the European Union, we are channeling significant resources into our city. The ‘TWINSME’ project is a concrete reflection of this vision. As a chamber, we are determined to use our international project experience to enhance our members’ integration into global markets and to strengthen our overall competitiveness.”
President Kesikbaş thanked everyone who contributed to the grant program and expressed his best wishes for the project to bring lasting benefits to the future of Eskişehir’s industry.
